Welcome to the website for the North Walsham & District Community Archive
group. With over 500 pictures and supporting information this website charts the history of the Norfolk market town of North Walsham from the 18th century to the end of the 20th century. Learn about people and the places which played a major role in many people's lives and in the development of the town. All photos included within this website have been carefully selected and, where possible, supporting information has been included too. We're sure you'll find it fun reaching into the past with our collection of historical images.
We need your photos!!
We are always on the look out for more suitable photographs from the history of North Walsham and the surrounding area for inclusion in the archive, we'd love to hear from you if you. That old photograph hidden away under the bed of a local hotel, house or other property, maybe it's an old school photo or workplace photo or just a photo of a place like a road or park in the area or even a facility like the train station. Many of these places have now vanished or look significantly different now to how they looked 50 years ago and will probably be of interest to others. Please contact us if you think you can help.
